Scuba Diving

Scuba Diving

Scuba diving is an exciting addition to our extensive Sports & Activities programme and is available to senior pupils aged 12-13.

Ian Nicholas is qualified as a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and is a highly experienced scuba diver.

Pupils undertake comprehensive theory work before beginning their training in the water.

Scuba diving is not only an exciting sport, but it teaches self-discipline, the importance of team work, organisation anddevelops a sense of confidence.

In addition, scuba diving educates and enhances pupils’ understanding of the effects of climate change on our oceans. The children will learn about marine conservation as well as the wonders of the underwater world.

Pupils study the PADI Junior Open Water programme which once completed will allow them to dive anywhere in the world.
