Film Club

Film Club is one of the many popular choices in Cottesmore’s varied and busy Activities programme.

At Film Club the children learn about the genres and process of film making.

Popular with both boys and girls in all age groups, Film Club enables the children to plan, cast and film some of their own ideas in a choice of genres.  Popular choices have been Action, Comedy, Historical and Science Fiction, with Horror being a particular favourite.

The films are made on a camcorder, kept on tape and played back so that the children can see the results of their efforts.

As well as being lots of fun, the children also absorb important life skills of team working, decision making, co-operation and compromise.
