Because our academic system enables staff to work on a more individual basis with the children, an able child can move quickly through the school to join the scholarship stream. Competition to the major public schools is keen and standards are of necessity high. Our scholarship record is excellent but the equally important majority of children will take Common Entrance to their Public Schools at around the age of thirteen. Those children who have potential in fields other than the purely academic, are given every opportunity to develop their talents, bearing in mind the standard necessary for Common Entrance.
