Winter Term 2010 - Newsletter 1

The Winter Term has started excellently with Cottesmore welcoming a large number of new children to both the Prep and Pre-Prep school.
Despite the weather not being quite the 'Indian Summer' we were all hoping for, everyone has spent a great deal of time outside playing sport and a variety of games whilst getting to know each other and having huge amounts of fun.
Last week saw our first football and netball matches. Twelve teams, a Cottesmore record, represented the school against Brambletye. Some excellent games were played on both the pitches and courts, showing promising skills at all levels. The results were mixed but the potential was evident and we look forward to an exciting season for both the girls and boys.
On Sunday a group of children visited Holmbush Farm where they spent the afternoon jumping on giant inflatable pillows and looking at a variety of animals, including piglets and llamas.
This week we have a Under 12/13 swimming team visiting Brambletye, there are football matches against Handcross Park and hockey against Great Walstead on Wednesday, followed by Windlesham and Worth on Saturday. We also have our first golf Family Foursomes day this Sunday where all levels and ages of golfers are welcome to play.
