The Carson Cup 2011

The two races were run in great springtime weather - sunny, warm and still.
 
The Under 11's ran first.  Josh ran from the front and held his race together to win in a creditable time of 2min 16.7s.  Close competition behind him saw Finn come 2nd with Henry 3rd (after taking slightly the wrong route and having to retrace his steps for 10m).  Coco ran well and was in contention throughout, finally finishing 6th overall.
 
The Over 11 race saw the lead and front runners change places on several occasions.  Tristan set off strongly but faded on the climb up to the second lap.  Jasmine was hot on his heels at this point.  Christophe and Frank weaved their way through the field and pulled clear in the final stages.  Christophe won the Carson Cup with a good time of 3min 6.8s with Frank 2nd and Tobias Ayre, finishing strongly, in 3rd place.  Jasmine won the Eaton Cup for Best Girl coming in 4th overall.

There was close competition between the Sets with Scotts winning by a narrow margin.
