This morning, Horsham's representative for local charity Chase, John Hastings pictured above, received Cottesmore's cheque for £4051.60. He spoke at Cottemore’s chapel line-up to thank the children, staff and parents for their fundraising effort and talked about how the money will be spent.
Later, Mr Hastings entertained the Form One children by the fireplace in the headmaster’s study with readings from a light-hearted book called ‘Red Faced Stories’ compiled by supporters of the charity Chase. (Click on the link to the right to see the gathering.)
Schools from Sussex, Surrey, London, Kent and Hampshire put together teams of eight children and 120 children swam as a continuous relay for fifteen minutes. The winners, King’s House in Richmond were awarded a trophy and the runners up were given certificates and a goody bag.
